Hearing protection

MAGEMA B.V. offers a wide selection of articles in the field of hearing protection, which may be subdivided into:

• External hearing protection
• Internal hearing protection

Ear muffs belong to the external hearing protection category. Each type or brand of ear muff has its own specific characteristics, such as the degree of attenuation and possibilities to do with for example communication and/or radio. 

By internal hearing protection is meant ear plugs, wax plugs, wads and otoplastics, which are available in many versions. 

Otoplastics are distinguished from other internal hearing protection in the following ways:

• Made to measure, so very comfortable to wear
• Optimum filter choice depending on application
• Combination with external equipment (communication/radio)
• Active and passive attenuation
• Possibility to test leak-tightness and attenuation
